Join Us

Whilst we welcome experienced singers, it doesn’t matter if you haven’t sung since your schooldays or can’t read music. If you want to sing for pure enjoyment and are willing to commit to attend rehearsals regularly, you will be very welcome.
We currently have 95  members, and welcome voices from all voice types. So do come along and join the fun on Wednesday evenings.  You don’t have to become a member immediately – we offer a couple of free taster sessions first to help you decide whether you like us and the way we work.  There are Voice Reps for the individual sections to help new members settle in, and we pride ourselves on being friendly and supportive. Rehearsals are usually challenging, but fun, and there is always the opportunity to socialise afterwards.
One of our Membership Secretaries, Bridget Adler and Debbie Wright, is always at the door to greet everyone and show new members the ropes.

Rehearsal Venue

We rehearse every Wednesday evening from 8pm to 10pm, in the United Reformed Church in Petworth.  Occasionally we finish early and head to the Angel pub – please view the Diary pages for details.

Contact Us

If you would like to join  or contact us about the choir please use the contact form below to send us a message:

We run on a 3 term basis and our subscription, which includes hire of music and fees for occasional Saturday workshops in the run-up to concerts, is due at the start of each term and is £60 (which works out at only £1.80 per hour throughout the whole year!).
Cheques should be made payable to ‘The Leconfield Singers’ and given to Ruth Thompson our Treasurer on the first evening of term. Alternatively you can pay online – ask Ruth for our bank details.

Gift Aid

As a registered charity we do reclaim Gift Aid from HMRC on part of any subscription from declared members.  Take a look at our Gift Aid page for more information.
If you qualify as a UK tax payer please print and complete this Gift Aid declaration form and give it to Ruth Thompson (our Treasurer) at our next rehearsal.
